With the development of nanosatellite constellations and their growing number of deployments in Earth orbit, a significant number of issues arise. These issues are related to the design and configuration of effective satellite formations intended to achieve diverse mission objectives. These also include constellation management strategies, along with the implementation of new methods for control optimization. In this regard, the need for accurate simulation mathematical models of the motion of multiple spacecraft increases. At the design stage, artificial (synthetic) data are used to imitate the real motion of satellites. Synthetic data are used for testing, validation, design, concept of operation definition. This paper is devoted to the analysis of the performance of a nanosatellite constellation using synthetic data. The aim is to test the possibility of using synthetic data to assess the functioning quality of nanosatellite constellations. The hypothesis is that high-precision modeling of nanosatellite motion allows obtaining an evolutionary picture of the constellation’s ballistic parameters and identifying its strong and weak performance characteristics. In this paper let’s demonstrate the possibility of using synthetic data to assess the functioning quality of a nanosatellite constellation. Synthetic data for a constellation of three nanosatellites over 30 days were generated. Changes in the semi-major axis, inter-satellite distances, orbital altitudes and RAAN differences were obtained over time. Analysis of mutual distances enabled detection of dangerous approaches. The method successfully identified weak parameters and evaluated the constellation’s functioning quality, supporting proactive mission-control decisions
