This article presents a comparative, contrastive, linguistic, and textual analysis of the manuscript of the famous historian and local historian Qurbanqali Khalidi’s work Tawarikh-i Khamsa-i Sharqi (The History of the Five Eastern Countries), its 1910 edition published in Kazan, and the 1992 edition titled Tawarikh Khamsa (Five Histories), translated by B. Tötanayev and A. Zholdasov, specifically the section titled “The Account of the Fergana Khans.” The study focuses on parts of the text that were either omitted, untranslated, or mistranslated in the 1992 edition, providing corrections and new translations. The research reveals that numerous sections of Tawarikh-i Khamsa-i Sharqi were either left untranslated or inaccurately rendered in the 1992 version. If the work is fully and accurately translated, it will become an essential source for scholars in fields such as oriental studies, philology, and history.
