The article presents the results of the study of the neuro-metabolic properties of the herbal preparation «Peppermint Extract» and the potential for its application to correct moderate mnemonic dysfunction in students. The trend towards the use of plant-based medicinal products is increasing every year. Currently, there is a sufficient number of scientific publications confirming the diversity of protective properties of medicinal plants and their phytochemical compounds. In connection with this, the study of the mechanism of neuroprotective properties of medicinal plants allows for the expansion of research into signaling pathways that provide a protective effect against a wide range of etiological factors of nervous system diseases. Cognitive dysfunctions significantly impact an individual’s life, affecting education, daily activities, and professional interactions. The increasing use of plant-based remedies highlights the need for exploring their neuroprotective potential. Methods: A study was conducted on 46 medical students with moderate mnemonic dysfunction. Participants consumed «Peppermint Extract» twice daily for three months. Neuropsychometric tests and EEG assessments were performed before and after treatment. Results: Peppermint extract improved mnemonic processes, increasing memory performance and enhancing bioelectrical activity in the brain. The treatment demonstrated a high safety profile and positive subjective feedback. Discussion: These findings underline the neuroprotective potential of peppermint extract. Its use offers a natural, costeffective alternative to synthetic drugs without significant side effects. Conclusion: Peppermint extract effectively improves cognitive functions, supporting its inclusion in therapeutic protocols.
