This scientific article discusses current research and advances in the use of microorganisms for biodegradation of organic pollutants in the natural environment. Waste is a serious environmental problem, and finding effective and sustainable methods for its utilization is becoming increasingly important. Microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi show amazing potential in decomposing a variety of wastes including organic, plastic and petroleum-based materials. This article discusses various strategies and approaches to utilize microorganisms for waste biodegradation, their benefits, and the challenges and prospects for further research in this area. Understanding and promoting waste biodegradation using microorganisms can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment, reduce the negative impact of waste on ecosystems, and promote the development of efficient waste management methods in the future. Microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and algae play an important role in removing contaminants in soil, water and air. This article reviews various strategies and technologies used to stimulate microbial activity and evaluates their effectiveness and environmental safety.
