The article analyzes the significance of ethnocultural information in discursive practice. Discursive and social experience play a crucial role in the formation of the linguistic-cultural, communicative, and discursive competencies of a linguistic personality, as these forms of experience ensure the intergenerational transmission of ethnocultural information embedded in the content of linguistic units. Drawing on the studies of É Benveniste, M. Bakhtin, T. van Dijk, and N. Uali, the author examines the concepts of discourse, discursive experience, ethnocultural information, and linguocultural content, interpreting discourse as a form of language actualization in a social context and analyzing its function in transmitting social experience and ethnocultural information. The aim of the article is to determine the role of ethnocultural content transmitted through discursive practice in the formation of linguocultural competence. The objectives include analyzing the relationship between discursive and social experience and identifying the functions of ethnocultural units in literary texts. The research material comprises explanatory and phraseological dictionaries as well as excerpts from literary texts. The study employs descriptive, contextual, semantic, and discourse analysis methods. The scientific value of the study lies in identifying discursive experience as a decisive factor in the formation of a linguistic personality, while its practical significance is determined by the applicability of the results in discourse studies and linguocultural studies.
