The static and dynamic properties of dust grains of finite size in a plasma are investigated on the basis of two approaches appropriate for strongly coupled systems. The first one is the quasi-localized charge approximation [1] (QLCA) exploiting the idea that most of the time strongly interacting particles are trapped in potential well of the collective field. The second technique stems from the self-consistent method of moments [2] (SCMM), which is totally based on the specific sum rules for the dynamic structure factor and soundly hypothesizes its low-frequency behavior.
