National Natural Park “Altyn Emel” is located on the northern coast of Kapchagai Reservoir in South-Eastern Kazakhstan and occupies large area, which includes deserts of Ili Valley, southern slopes of the Degeres, Sholak, and Matai mountains, south-eastern slopes of Altyn Emel Ridge, southern slopes of Koyandytau Ridge, and Katutau Mountains – southern spurs of Dzhungarskyi Alatau mountain system. As a result of our research and study of the materials stored in the collection of Institute of Zoology of Kazakhstan 41 species and subspecies of jewel beetles from 12 genera, 9 tribes and 5 subfamilies (Julodinae, Polycestinae, Chrysochroinae, Buprestinae, Agrilinae) were found in “Altyn Emel” National Park. Big turanga jewel beetle Capnodis miliaris metallica Ballion, 1870 included to “Red Data Book of Kazakhstan” is also found in the National Park. We have allocated 4 ecosystems: gallery forests, riparian forests, steppe zone, different types of deserts being presented in “Altyn Emel” National Park. The highest number of Buprestidae species was met in the steppe zone (18 species, 43.9%), and then in the desert ecosystem (15 species, 36.6%), gallery forests (8 species, 19.5%) and mountain riparian forests (5 species, 12.2%). By the peculiarities of trophic relationship the studied species are divided into polyphagous (6 species, 14.6% of total species), oligophagous (9 species, 21.9%), narrow oligophagous (7 species, 17.1%), monophagous (14 species, 34.1%), and species with unknown trophic specialization (4 species, 9.8%). The majority of jewel beetles fauna of “Altyn Emel” is Tethys species (21 species, 51.2%). Local endemics are 39% (16 species) of whole fauna
