The aim of the study was to investigate the oxidative metabolism of the uranium processing enterprise workers with hypertension. For the study of the working population with hypertension 102 patients were selected, corresponding to the inclusion criteria ‐ age from 35 to 50, labor experience in the UE at least 5 years, AH 1 and 2 degrees. Groups have been formed: I group consisted of workers of UE undergoing chronic toxic effects of radiation; II group‐workers at UP, not in contact with harmful factors of production; III group ‐ workers at ball bearing plant SBBP. Analysis of the data showed the most pronounced intensification of lipid peroxidation in workers with AG stage I of the group. Average concentrations of DC and MDA in this group exceeded the same indices of control in 3.3 and 1.7 times, respectively (p<0,01). The prevalence in the blood of workers UE mainly primary products of lipid peroxidation due to the continuous process of the generation of free radicals under the influence of chronic toxic effects of radiation and the initiation of lipid peroxidation chain reactions. CAT activity and antioxidant activity in hypertensive patients in group I was significantly different from those in healthy individuals, respectively, decreasing by 23.5 and 38.7% of control values. At the same time, in groups II and III showed increased activity of CAT and AOA by an average of 44.2 and 8.6 %, respectively, relative to control.
