Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a global public health issue with estimated prevalence around 11% to 13% worldwide. This chronic condition eventually progresses to End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), which requires a life-saving renal replacement therapy (RRT). Although incidence of ESRD is increasing in Kazakhstan, little is known about the effect of different factors on prognosis in this group of patients. Thus, we aimed to study how delayed diagnosis of CKD affects survival after initiation of RRT.
