The article considers the urgent problem of modernizing university career support systems in the context of the digital transformation of the labor market. The aim of the study is to identify the deficits of traditional career counseling methods and, on this basis, design a functional architecture of an independent platform for professional development. The principles of requirements engineering and system design of educational information solutions were used as a methodological framework. Empirical data was collected using a combined method, using proprietary questionnaires on a digital forms platform. The total balanced sample of the study consisted of 243 students, 62 university graduates, 45 academic advisors, and 32 representatives of employer companies. Mathematical and statistical analysis of quantitative data was performed in a specialized software environment, calculating frequency distributions and verifying the reliability of scales using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. Data analysis revealed a deep infrastructural gap: 43.5% of graduates did not use the classic services of career centers, while 83.1% of students are in acute need of automated tools for competency diagnostics and internship selection. The survey of teachers confirmed a critical shortage of time for conducting individual work with students among 62.2% of respondents. From the employers' side, a parity of requirements for the hard and soft skills of graduates was recorded. As a result of the study, the optimal architecture of an autonomous platform was theoretically justified and designed. The proposed technical solution allows automating routine skill assessment processes, compensating for the limitations of closed university learning management systems through user data input, document recognition technologies, and gamification mechanisms.
