It is well known that copper nanoparticles are widely utilized across various industrial sectors and healthcare fields; however, their high reactivity raises significant concerns regarding potential toxicity. In this regard, the article presents the results of experiments on rats exposed to copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles and subsequent correction using an aqueous Beta vulgaris seed infusion. The present study evaluates the toxic effects of CuO nanoparticles at a dose of 30 mg/kg of animal body weight on the hematological system and parenchymal organs, including the liver, spleen, and kidneys. The dose of CuO nanoparticles was selected as an average experimental dose that ensures the development of pronounced, yet non-lethal, toxic effects.Special attention is paid to hematological disorders, including alterations in blood cell morphology and a reduction in their functional activity.Furthermore, the paper discusses the prospects of employing the herbal infusion of Beta vulgaris seeds as a therapeutic agent for mitigating nanotoxicity. In particular, the compounds contained within the seeds of Beta vulgaris are capable of reducing copper accumulation in parenchymal organs down to control values. This suggests that phytopreparations represent a promising approach for minimizing the toxic impact of nanoparticles.
