Introduction. Abrasive wear of tillage machine working parts causes substantial production losses and remains one of the principal unresolved problems of agricultural machinery engineering. The issue is particularly pressing for Kazakhstan, whose 32 million hectares of arable land are dominated by chestnut and light-chestnut soils of the dry-steppe zone with a high content of quartz fractions and minimal moisture during primary tillage. The aim of the study is to systematize biomimetic approaches to the surface modification of soil-engaging parts and to develop an original concept of a multi-bionic implement adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Kazakhstan. Materials and Methods. The work is designed as a systematic conceptual review following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Scopus, Web of Science and the Russian Science Citation Index were searched; of 429 initial records, nineteen studies published between 2015 and 2025 were included. The risk of systematic bias was assessed against four formal criteria, and technology readiness levels were rated on the ISO 16290:2013 scale. Results. Four biological prototypes with distinct wear-resistance mechanisms were examined: the dung beetle, the pangolin, rodent incisors and wild boar tusks, and the ventral scales of snakes. Four biostructure transfer technologies were systematized. A concept of a multi-bionic working part with functional zoning of the surface is proposed together with a combined manufacturing route of casting, hardfacing and laser texturing. Discussion and Conclusions. The calculated estimate, obtained by area-weighting experimental values reported in the literature with a reduction factor of 0.6, indicates a decrease in draught resistance of 10-15 % and an increase in service life of up to 50 %; operating costs for a model farm fall by 5-9 %. The concept currently corresponds to TRL 3, so the figures are predictive and require experimental confirmation. Ways for future research. Finite-element analysis of the fusion zone, discrete-element modelling of the textured surface interacting with soil, bench abrasion tests and season-long field trials on the chestnut soils and chernozems of the Kostanay region.
