This research paper focuses on the diagnostics of a lockstitch shuttle sewing machine using the TYPICAL GC6150 as a case study. In modern garment manufacturing, sewing machines operate at high speeds, which requires precise phase synchronization of the main working mechanisms, including the needle, shuttle, thread take-up lever, and fabric feeding mechanism. Any disturbance in phase relationships may result in stitch skipping, thread breakage, unstable seam formation, and accelerated wear of machine components, ultimately reducing productivity and operational reliability. The study proposes a diagnostic method based on the combined use of micro-video monitoring and the construction of working cycle cyclograms. Micro-cameras enable visual observation of fast dynamic processes occurring in hard-to-reach areas of the sewing machine without complete disassembly. Video recordings are analyzed frame by frame to identify key diagnostic events and determine their time and phase parameters relative to the angular position of the main shaft. Experimental cyclograms derived from the video data make it possible to detect deviations from standard operating conditions at an early stage. The proposed approach improves diagnostic accuracy, reduces maintenance and adjustment time, enhances machine reliability, and ensures stable sewing quality in industrial production environments.
