The aim of this study was to investigate the structure and mechanical properties of sheet semi-finished products obtained by hot and cold rolling from experimental Al-Mg alloys alloyed with scandium, with varying chemical composition. Using the QForm program, by simulating the sheet rolling process, the reductions and energy-force parameters of the process were determined under specified processing temperature conditions. Using the Cockcroft-Latham criterion, an assessment was made of the possibility of metal fracture under specified reduction modes. The obtained modeling data were used to develop hot and cold rolling routes, using which experimental studies were conducted on obtaining strips of varying thicknesses from cast billets 10 mm thick of two alloys 1580 and 1565ch with a given combination of alloying elements. These elements were scandium, zirconium, chromium, erbium, yttrium, niobium and calcium. Hot rolling of cast billets from the studied alloys yielded 3 mm thick strips, which were then cold rolled into 1.5 mm thick strips. Sample selection and tensile testing revealed that rolled alloy 1580, alloyed with scandium, exhibits superior mechanical properties compared to alloy 1565ch, also alloyed with scandium. Additions of chromium, yttrium, and erbium to the alloys result in a slight increase in strength and a decrease in ductility. However, the greatest increase in strength is achieved with the addition of scandium. Microstructural analysis of the alloys revealed that alloying with small additions of scandium, zirconium, yttrium, and erbium leads to the formation of dispersed spherical inclusions 10-30 nm in size, resulting from the decomposition of the supersaturated aluminum solid solution during process heating.
