This edited volume brings together six policy briefs produced through the Expert School on Governance and Connectivity in Central Asia, a research-training programme jointly organised by the Center for Global and Regional Governance at Maqsut Narikbayev University and the Data Lab Research Center. The volume examines regionalism, transboundary water governance, investment and trade, connectivity, and critical minerals in Central Asia from an inside-out perspective. Drawing on qualitative and quantitative research, the contributions analyse regional cooperation, the Qosh Tepa Canal, Kazakhstan’s investment climate, Kazakhstan–Azerbaijan trade, critical minerals, and strategic trade controls. The volume provides evidence-based analysis and policy recommendations for decision-makers, researchers, and practitioners working on Central Asian affairs.
