Uranium is a type of nuclear fuel and is considered a strategic material for military purposes and for ensuring national energy independence. Traditional mining involves extracting ore from the ground, crushing it, and processing it to obtain the desired minerals. In-situ leaching (ISL) technology, also known as solution mining, leaves the ore in situ and pumps liquids through it to leach the minerals. This article presents a mechanical and mathematical model for calculating the deformation state of the roof of uranium ISL chambers. During underground mining using the ISL method, the eroded rock mass experiences a complex set of alternating stresses and strains, leading to rock displacement and fracture. The formation of ISL chambers during erosion of a sedimentary rock mass leads to a disruption of the original stress state of the mass, rock deformation, and roof collapse of the chambers. The ISL cleaning chambers are developed in sectors around the production well. The sectors are developed by hydraulically flushing the rock with working fluid at opening angles of αmin ⇒ αmax, with washout radii of Rmin ⇒ Rmax, depending on the physical and mechanical properties of the rock and the stability of the exposed roof.
