Sustainable agricultural development is becoming a key condition for food security in the new geopolitical realities. Growing differentiation of rural areas, regional specificities of industries, and accumulated imbalances require an updated agricultural policy focused on innovation, investment, and diversification. Improving competitiveness is possible by taking into account institutional, resource, and technological factors. From 2023 to 2025, the Republic of Bashkortostan saw the largest increase in gross harvest volumes for oilseeds – by 97%, including soybeans (by 8.6 times), rapeseed (by 4.5 times), flaxseed (by 2.4 times), other oilseeds (by 2.1 times), sunflower grain (by 64%); grain corn (by 94.6%); and silage crops (by 54%). Increased yields for most crops reflect the results of extensive breeding and agronomic efforts, which have led to intensified production. Grain and leguminous crops demonstrated the most significant growth, with yields increasing by 30-40%, and for some crops, significantly higher. Particularly high growth rates were noted for triticale (+52.9%), grain corn (+73.8%), and winter wheat (+46.3%), indicating improved cultivation technologies, the use of more productive varieties, and increased efficiency of agricultural practices. Oilseed yields also showed significant positive dynamics. Yields of soybeans (+88.7%), camelina (+87.2%), and rapeseed (+78.6%) increased the most significantly, reflecting the active implementation of modern technologies and the expansion of oilseed production potential. The focus on intensifying production activities in crop production is yielding positive results. The main priorities for agricultural development include technological modernization, import substitution, strengthening social support for industry workers, and improving the legal and organizational forms of farming. Systematic restoration of a scientifically sound structure for the placement and specialization of production, the development of rational crop rotations, the development of a domestic feed base, and the optimization of distribution chains will ensure the preservation of agricultural potential, which remains the foundation of the country's long-term food security.
