This paper analyzes the biological characteristics of streptococcal pathogens, including their morphology and pathogenic potential, and evaluates the efficacy of passive immunotherapy with hyperimmune serum as an adjunctive strategy for disease management. The mechanisms of action of hyperimmune serum, evidence from experimental and clinical studies, and the prospects for its application in combination therapy of streptococcal infections in cattle are discussed. The findings demonstrate the potential of hyperimmune therapy to mitigate infection severity and reduce reliance on antimicrobial agents. Contemporary approaches to the treatment and prevention of streptococcosis and other infectious diseases in farm animals involve the integrated use of antimicrobial therapy, vaccination, optimized housing conditions, and strict compliance with veterinary sanitary and biosecurity standards. Regular veterinary surveillance and systematic health monitoring are also essential components of infection control and prevention programs. Therefore, the development and implementation of effective strategies for the control of infectious diseases in young animals represent a critical factor in enhancing productivity and improving the quality of livestock products. The prevention of streptococcosis requires the implementation of a comprehensive control program incorporating veterinary sanitary measures and the provision of nutritionally balanced rations. On farms with a high incidence of streptococcosis, clinically ill and recovered cows should be isolated from neonatal calves, and the use of their colostrum and milk for calf feeding should be avoided. Improvement of the epizootic situation necessitates in-depth investigation of infectious diseases in cattle, the development of highly effective specific and non-specific preventive strategies, and the optimization of prophylactic and therapeutic approaches. The development of effective preventive and therapeutic interventions for infectious diseases remains a priority objective aimed at increasing livestock health and survival rates, as well as improving both quantitative and qualitative indicators of livestock production.
