The present research investigates the performance characteristics of IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) wireless networks in GNU/Linux and Windows 11 environments. Particular attention is devoted to throughput, data transmission latency, CPU load, and RAM utilization [1, 2]. The study was carried out using a simulation-based methodology under identical hardware configurations and radio environment conditions for both operating systems. The obtained results indicate that architectural differences in network subsystems significantly affect connection quality metrics. In particular, GNU/Linux demonstrates higher throughput and lower latency, whereas Windows 11 exhibits increased CPU load and greater RAM consumption under comparable conditions. The research has practical relevance for selecting an operating system in the design and deployment of high-performance Wi-Fi networks
