The article gives a detailed analysis of the lexicographic representation of separate connective definitions expressed by adjectives and adjective turns in authoritative reference books on the punctuation of the Russian language (D.E. Rosenthal; V.V. Lopatin; N.M. Pipchenko; V.M. Pakhomov, V.V. Svintsov, I.V. Filatova). The purpose of the work is to identify the features of the normative description of these structures in modern lexicographic descriptions and their reflection in educational practice. It is noted that the authors of dictionaries often consider adjective connective definitions together with ordinary separate definitions, without focusing on significant punctuation differences: if traditional definitions are separated by commas, then connective definitions are characterized by variability and are formed by a comma with a finite dash or a paired dash. In addition, it has been found that separate connecting constructions containing clarifying or explanatory shades often qualify exclusively as clarifying or explanatory definitions, which reduces their functional specificity and makes it difficult to understand their real syntactic role. It is shown that the greatest difficulty is the delimitation of connecting constructions without grammatical markers and definitions with explanatory and clarifying meaning, according to the terminology of V.V. Lopatin. The paper shows the grounds for distinguishing these syntactic phenomena, which consist in the fact that they are characterized by specific punctuation, carry additional semantic meaning and have structural autonomy that allows you to remove the turnover without violating the integrity of the sentence. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to improve the regulatory framework and expresses confidence that in the near future a special dictionary will be prepared on the expressive syntax system, in which due attention will be paid to connecting constructions.
