We wish to inform readers, authors, and stakeholders of an important editorial transition involving the transfer and rebranding of an established scholarly journal. This change reflects both the maturation of the journal and the evolving needs of the biomedical research community. The journal Advances in Applied Nano-Bio-Technology, founded in 2020 as a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access publication, initially focused on nanobiotechnology and closely related applied sciences. Over the course of several volumes, the journal experienced a steady increase in submissions that extended beyond its original thematic boundaries, encompassing broader biomedical, translational, and clinical research topics. This natural expansion in manuscript scope, combined with growing interdisciplinary collaboration, prompted a strategic reassessment of the journal’s identity and long-term mission. As a result, the journal has been transferred and rebranded as West Kazakhstan Biomedicine Journal (WKBJ). The new title more accurately represents the journal’s comprehensive biomedical focus and acknowledges its institutional and regional foundation while maintaining an international outlook. The transfer also includes a transition to a modern professional publishing platform to enhance editorial workflow efficiency, publication quality, global visibility, and indexing potential. This step is intended to support sustainable growth, improve author and reviewer experience, and align the journal with contemporary standards in scientific publishing. Under its new identity, WKBJ will continue to operate as a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published on a quarterly basis. The journal is exclusively online and provides unrestricted access to all content, ensuring wide dissemination of published research without subscription barriers. The scope of WKBJ is intentionally broad, covering fundamental, translational, and clinical aspects of biomedical science. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry and molecular medicine, biomedical nanotechnology, regenerative medicine and stem cell research, pharmacology and toxicology, biomedical engineering and bioinformatics, genomics and precision medicine, microbiology and immunology, biomedical imaging and diagnostics, environmental and occupational health, and bioethics and regulatory science. The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, short communications, and case-based studies that demonstrate scientific rigor and clinical or technological relevance. The mission of WKBJ is to serve as a platform that bridges basic laboratory discoveries with clinical application and biomedical innovation. Particular emphasis is placed on research addressing regional health priorities while contributing to global scientific knowledge. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and supporting high-quality research dissemination, the journal aims to promote advances that improve human health and healthcare systems. This editorial transition marks a new phase in the journal’s development. The transfer and rebranding are driven by the goal of better serving authors, readers, and the wider biomedical community through a clearer scope, stronger publishing infrastructure, and enhanced international reach.
