This paper examines the theoretical and methodological aspects of analyzing the impact of environmental shocks on the economic resilience of developing countries. The study emphasizes the importance of environmental risks as a key factor influencing economic stability. The aim of the research is to systematize theoretical approaches and methodological tools for assessing the relationship between environmental disturbances and economic indicators. The paper clarifies the concept of environmental shocks, identifies their main types and transmission channels, and reviews key theoretical approaches to economic resilience. It also analyzes a range of methodological tools, including qualitative methods, econometric models, and integrated approaches. Special attention is given to the mechanisms through which environmental shocks affect the economy, as well as their impact on different forms of capital and institutional factors. The study identifies the limitations of existing approaches and substantiates the need for developing an integrated interdisciplinary framework. The findings can be used to improve methodological approaches and inform economic policy design.
