ABSTRACT Management of chronic conditions, cognitive impairments, and disabilities associated with aging is the main critical challenge that the current healthcare system is facing due to the increase in the global aging population. There is a suggestion that artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to properly ensure these demands by enhancing the quality and suitability of geriatric care. This perspective review examines the advantages, challenges, and possible arising from AI implementation in older adult care that will focus on diagnosis, treatment, remote monitoring, and proper resource allocation. It provides a possible projection for the future of geriatric care in medicine enhanced by AI. One of the main contributions of AI is the early detection of chronic conditions such as dementia and the provision of timely intervention. Remote monitoring technologies, such as wearable devices, enable healthcare professionals to continuously track vital health indicators in real time, particularly in underserved areas. AI-assisted telemedicine and personalized treatment plans will increase access to care and improve patient outcomes. Nevertheless, some obstacles persist, namely the bias in AI data sets, resistance to implementing the technology among clinicians, and technology usability. It is necessary to address the problems related to ethical data sharing, AI adoption, and usability to ensure the full realization of AI technology and its potential.
