This article presents the main directions of archaeozoological research carried out in 2024 at the Zooarchaeology Laboratory, along with new data on the quantity and taxonomic composition of osteological materials recovered from archaeological sites. The aim of the study is to analyze the results of archaeozoological research and to identify current directions in the development of domestic archaeozoology. The objectives of the research included determining the species composition of the archaeological sites from which the osteological materials were studied, establishing quantitative indicators and the taxonomic composition of animals for each site, as well as systematizing information on animal skeletons discovered in burial complexes. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the examination of approximately 30,000 animal bones from 43 archaeological sites. The chronological framework of the archaeozoological studies extends from the Stone Age to the 19th century. Additionally, a number of burial grounds yielded previously rare animal remains (such as camel skeletons), providing new insights into ancient and medieval animal husbandry practices in the territory of Kazakhstan. The results of the research contributed to the formation of a significant corpus of archaeozoological materials and made it possible to trace the dynamics of livestock development within the historical and cultural context of archaeological sites in Kazakhstan.
