Concrete technology through nanotechnology has been receiving a lot of interest due to the improvements in mechanical properties, durability and sustainability. However, some problems limit the enhancement of the performance of nanomaterials by integration. The purpose of this research is to mitigate these challenges through evaluating the impact of the nanomaterials, which include nano-silica, TiO₂, and carbon nanomaterials on the machine-driven and robustness characteristics of concrete containing recycled aggregates and supplementary cementitious materials. The findings of this study are useful in the enhancement of sustainable construction productivity, the minimisation of the impact on the environment, and the enhancement of structural performance. The following systematic approach was followed in this study to integrate nanomaterials in concrete mixtures and assess the effects through experimental and analytical techniques. The outcomes of the current work were further related with the compressive strength, flexural properties and micro structural improvements. The study reveals that the use of nanomaterials enhances the machine-driven properties of concrete and that nanosilica has the best potential to enhance the microstructure and reduce defects in recycled aggregate concrete. The study also reveals that more emphasis should be placed on the right amount and distribution in order to get the right results. These outcomes show the possibility of using nanomaterials in the present concrete technologies, and give a direction on how to use these nanomaterials properly and economically. The use of nanomaterials in cost effective manufacturing, their use in bulk systems and their possibilities in designing smart structures need to be researched further.
