This article examines the experience of hospital pharmacists in the system of supply management for diagnostic reagents and laboratory consumables. A literature review was conducted on the organization of clinical and diagnostic laboratory supply systems, with an analysis of models used in the United States, Germany, France, and other countries. Clinical laboratory diagnostics play a key role in healthcare systems; according to WHO data, up to 70% of clinical decisions are based on laboratory test results [1]. Current trends indicate a growing demand for high-precision and high-quality diagnostics, as well as the need for optimal utilization of healthcare resources. Consequently, many countries are implementing and improving approaches to the centralization, automation, and standardization of laboratory processes. At present, the Republic of Kazakhstan is implementing the Concept for the Development of Healthcare Infrastructure for 2024–2030, aimed at creating a balanced, sustainable, and modern healthcare infrastructure in accordance with leading international standards. The Concept ensures the rational allocation of resources, high accessibility, and quality of medical and diagnostic services. Within these reforms, the laboratory service is regarded as one of the key components of healthcare system development. Thus, in the context of reforming the national healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is essential to ensure a transition from a fragmented structure to a centralized management system. The effective functioning of clinical and diagnostic laboratories is impossible without a well-organized supply system. Integrating international experience into national practice will make it possible to establish a structured laboratory service system in Kazakhstan that meets modern trends and international standards. The quality of medical care depends on accurate diagnosis and proper multidisciplinary collaboration between clinical personnel, laboratory specialists, and pharmacy service professionals. Within the framework of laboratory service centralization during the reorganization of single-profile hospitals into multiprofile ones, the rational use of budgetary resources and systematic implementation of risk management play a crucial role in minimizing the economic losses of healthcare organizations. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to develop an evidence-based approach to annual demand planning, procurement, and reagent utilization, as well as to perform regular analyses of consumption and stock levels while ensuring preventive measures are taken with due consideration of potential risks.
