This article explores the cognitive-discursive features of professional communication among IT specialists, focusing on how cognitive processes such as perception, attention, memory, and problem-solving influence on their use of language during technical tasks. Through qualitative analysis of interviews and professional texts, the study reveals how IT professionals employ specialized vocabulary, abbreviations, and specific grammatical structures to facilitate precise and efficient communication. The research highlights the integral role of cognitive strategies in shaping linguistic identity, enhancing teamwork, and supporting knowledge development within the IT domain. Findings underscore the importance of developing cognitive-linguistic competencies to improve information processing and collaborative problem-solving in dynamic technological environments. Moreover, the study demonstrates how IT professionals adapt their speech depending on context – switching between formal and informal registers, simplifying terminology for interdisciplinary communication, or using metaphors and analogies to convey complex concepts. The findings emphasize the interplay between language and thinking, where linguistic choices mirror problem-solving approaches and decision-making strategies typical for IT tasks.
