Neurological disorders are an escalating global health concern, particularly as populations age and the prevalence of chronic neurodegenerative conditions increases. Parkinson's disease, a leading contributor to disability in older adults, demands coordinated, accessible, and sustained care. This paper presents a comparative analysis of the standard of care for Parkinson's Disease in Kazakhstan and the United States, highlighting how national healthcare systems-one evolving within a state-funded primary care model, the other shaped by a specialized, insurance-based framework-address diagnosis, treatment access, multidisciplinary management, and long-term support. By examining epidemiological data, health system structures, and policy landscapes, the authors of this work have identified key gaps and opportunities in both countries. This work analyzes seven key dimensions of comparative health systems; Reimbursement Models, Regulatory Framework, Cost and Efficiency, Access and Coverage, Quality of Care, Health Outcomes, and Sociocultural and Economic Context- to generate actionable insights for health planning. Ultimately, the findings from this study are intended to inform the design of low-cost, wearable health solutions that are equitable, scalable, and responsive to the diverse needs of patients across settings-particularly in resource-limited environments.
