The article examines the interaction between disc-shaped working tools of a seeding unit and the soil, drawing an analogy to the operation of a disc bulldozer blade. The research identifies key factors contributing to increased draft resistance and energy consumption during soil cutting. It also highlights reduced cutting depth stability at higher operating speeds. A theoretical model of soil cutting by disc tools is developed, deriving a mathematical relationship between cutting resistance, tool velocity, and variable soil properties. This model explains the observed rise in energy demands and deterioration in cutting precision. To address these challenges, the study proposes measures to minimize traction resistance and energy consumption while enhancing depth stability. Experimental investigations of both static and vibro-cutting processes validate the theoretical findings, demonstrating the effectiveness of vibrational soil cutting with disc tools in reducing traction resistance, lowering energy costs, and maintaining stable cutting depths across a wide range of operational speeds. The research, the results of which are presented in this article, is funded by the Committee on Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (grant AP22684640 - Development of an articulated structure of a bulldozer dump with a multi-level geometry change), the article also constitutes a part of the dissertation research conducted by D. S. Elemanov.
