The article describes the emissions into the environment during the design development of wells in oil fields, including the radioactivity of drilling waste and the external and internal factors affecting it. Together with drilling waste, radionuclides come out of the bowels of the earth from the zones of destruction during drilling of rocks, as well as from trunks, inter-column and column spaces in technological wells. At the same time, the probability of abundant release of radionuclides to the surface is also associated with corrosion of casing strings and destruction of cement stone in technological wells. The effective permissible activity of drilling waste should not exceed 1500 Bq/kg. The radioactivity of drilling waste in samples obtained from the design drilling wells of the Kumkolskoye field, tested for use as a construction material, did not exceed 400 Bq/kg. The article discusses the use of drilling waste as a building material by reducing its radioactivity.
