The study of nutrient elements in soil science is one of the common research challenges. The primary nutrients include nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. In dry steppe regions, the content of mobile phosphorus is very low due to the alkaline nature of the soils. The climate is characterized by temperature fluctuations ranging from -30°C in winter to +40°C in summer, with annual precipitation varying between 220 and 270 mm. The topography consists of a gently undulating plain. Calcium carbonates bind mobile forms of phosphorus, which is the root cause of this issue. In soil science, research findings are subjected to statistical analysis. We investigated various forms of phosphorus and humus, determined the granulometric composition, identified the physical clay content, and calculated the reserves of total phosphorus and four phosphorus fractions in the 0-20 cm and 0-50 cm soil layers. These data were processed using statistical methods. The results revealed correlations between the content of different phosphorus forms and the levels of physical clay and humus. The study was conducted on chestnut soils (Kastanozems).Chestnut soils are formed underthe conditions of the dry steppe zone, with a non-leaching water regime, and under low-growing vegetation. The humus content is low, the content of available nitrogen is low, available phosphorus is very low, and available potassium is medium
