We currently live in the age of digitalization and informatization, which penetrate all spheres of our lives. The potential of the digital age changes the way we live, work, and interact with each other, thereby changing life itself. Similarly, this affects family relationships. The issue of parent-child relationships has always remained important in the field of studying personality development, and in the context of today's rapidly changing world, its importance is only increasing. This paper presents a theoretical review, which was carried out using the constructivist method, including the analysis and synthesis of scientific research of the last decade devoted to the problem of relationships between adolescents and their parents. The article is devoted to the transformation of relationships between adolescents and parents, and the influence of the quality of these relationships on the development of the mental health of adolescents. The article considers current research on adolescent problems, such as delinquent behavior, conflict situations with parents, depression, addiction, and others, in the context of the influence of the relationship between a teenager and their parents. The article also presents studies of parent-child relationships during the 2019 pandemic, when teenagers and parents were forced to isolate themselves at home. This period revealed the importance of emotional support and open communication in the family for the harmonious development of a teenager's personality.
