Children’s literature is a life guide that shapes the younger generation and educates them in morality. Therefore, it is evident that works of moral and ethical content in children’s prose are of great importance. The works published in the 1970s and 1980s are notable for their sharp focus on moral issues and the deepening of the characters’ inner worlds. This article comprehensively analyzes the artistic portrayal and educational value of moral and ethical values in Kazakh children’s literature of the 1970s and 1980s. Through the works of prominent writers Qarzhaubai Omaruly and Tynymbai Nurmagambetov, the article explores themes such as family relationships, moral understanding between children and adults, love for one’s homeland, respect for parents, and kindness. The literary analysis highlights the characters’ inner world, psychological traits, and artistic methods rooted in national identity. The article emphasizes the need to develop a child’s worldview, shape their character, and instill national mentality through literature. Furthermore, it addresses the necessity of promoting morality and national education in the era of globalization and digital technologies, and discusses the development of children’s literature in new formats. Children’s literature is portrayed not only as a tool of aesthetic education but also as a medium that preserves spiritual and cultural codes and noble human values, ensuring the continuity of generations. The study also presents suggestions regarding the future development of modern children’s literature and emphasizes the need for innovative directions.
