The article presents the results of a study on the prevalence of chronic endometritis, uterine microflora, and its impact on blood parameters in cows and heifers. Among the 200 cows examined, we identified acute postpartum endometritis in 32 cows (16%), chronic endometritis in 26 cows (13%), and subclinical endometritis in 24 cows (12%). The uterine microflora research revealed that Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli play a leading role in the development of acute and chronic endometritis, with E. coli being particularly prevalent in subclinical forms of the disease. Staphylococcus aureus also significantly contributes to acute inflammatory processes. Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium are major contributors to subinvolution, suggesting their key role in disrupting postpartum uterine recovery. coli and Proteus vulgaris are the most frequent pathogens in subclinical endometritis, making diagnosis and treatment more challenging. Candida albicans is exclusively associated with chronic endometritis, indicating its limited involvement in postpartum inflammatory processes but its potential role in complicating prolonged infections. Blood parameters showed a decrease in hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels, while increased leukocytes and changes in the leukocyte formula confirmed an ongoing inflammatory process. These findings can be valuable for diagnosing and treating diseases in animals, as well as for monitoring their condition during therapy.
